About The Position

This role is a specialized SME focused on ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of data assets for one or more major domains. It leads the development and refinement of data standards, policies, and procedures that drive consistent data quality and effective governance. It independently manages complex data governance and quality workstreams that deliver measurable improvements to business or operational targets. It acts as a key expert to stakeholders across divisions, explaining data policies and designs and influencing adoption of best practices.

Responsibilities

• Execute Governance and Quality Processes Across Teams: Coordinates data governance and quality activities across stakeholder groups such as business functions, IT, and analytics teams. Plans and executes recurring tasks like data validations, control monitoring, and issue reviews according to agreed cadences. Tracks completion and escalates risks or delays that could impact service levels or compliance obligations.
• Monitor and Analyze Data Quality Metrics: Maintains dashboards and reports that show quality performance for key data sets in assigned scope. Investigates significant deviations, patterns, or anomalies to understand underlying causes. Recommends and helps implement changes in processes or rules to address identified issues.
• Implement and Improve Data Controls: Configures and refines business rules, validations, and exception workflows within data quality tools or applications. Tests new or updated controls to confirm they operate as designed and do not introduce unintended impacts. Documents control logic and operational steps so they can be maintained by support teams.
• Support Data Privacy and Security in Operations: Applies approved patterns for handling, masking, and transmitting sensitive data in daily operations and change activities. Reviews job designs and data extracts to verify they comply with privacy and security requirements. Raises potential risks or non?compliant practices to appropriate security or governance teams with supporting evidence.
• Lead Medium?Complexity Data Improvement Efforts: Identifies improvement opportunities in data processes, data definitions, and quality checks within own area. Designs and executes medium?complexity tasks such as rule tuning, workflow streamlining, or data clean?up campaigns. Measures outcomes against baseline metrics and shares results and lessons learned with stakeholders.
