About The Position

This position collaborates with campus and external stakeholders to advance career strategies and the data used to positively impact career outcomes. It leads projects to gather and analyze data related to learning, experiential learning participation, and post-graduation outcomes to identify trends. The role manages career-related technologies supporting scalable career coaching, employer engagement, and student access to career services. As a system administrator, responsibilities include implementing updates, monitoring data integrity, optimizing workflows, and providing user support. The position also develops training materials, user guides, and quality assurance processes. Collaboration with UFIT, the Office of the University Registrar, and campus partners is essential to ensure compliance with university policies and enhance the student experience. The role strengthens cross-functional collaboration to effectively leverage data for student success, institutional priorities, and the university's mission. Additionally, it involves meeting with students, faculty, staff, administrators, alumni, and other partners to support data-informed decision-making. The role serves as a consultative point of contact for faculty and departmental partners, translating career and outcomes data into actionable insights. It coordinates and provides programmatic and service offerings to support the student experience, fostering skill-building, resource navigation, readiness, and overall success. Collaboration with career coaches is key to assessing student career readiness trends, identifying populations needing targeted support, and evaluating the effectiveness of coaching and engagement initiatives. Insights are communicated clearly to support case management strategies, targeted student interventions, and continuous improvement of career services and experiential learning initiatives. The position also develops and coordinates communication plans, surveys, and continuous improvement efforts. It supports the ongoing management of data related to career readiness, experiential learning, and student success using various systems. Data is used to inform career coaching strategies, employer outreach priorities, and targeted student interventions. Insights, research, and findings are communicated to leadership for strategic planning, resource allocation, and storytelling aligned with the mission of the Career Connections Center, Division of Student Life, and state priorities. Documentation, data dictionaries, and reporting protocols are maintained for transparency and data literacy. Assessment summaries and outcome reports are prepared to support program enhancement, divisional reporting, and institutional post-graduation outcomes goals. The role assists the Director for Career Data, Technology and Engagement with team management, budget support, supervision, and administrative functions. It supports a data-informed culture by serving on committees, facilitating trainings, and educating departments on data access, literacy, and the appropriate use of analytical tools. Collaboration with colleagues identifies data needs for strategic planning and resource allocation. Attendance at staff and supervision meetings ensures clear communication. Participation in portfolio, division, and university-wide committees is expected. Potential supervision of student assistants and indirect impact on other portfolio staff members may occur. Project outcomes are tracked, reported, and communicated to various stakeholders. The role lives out the Center’s values and evaluates usage trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements aligned with the future of work and evolving student needs.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in an appropriate field and two years of experience or a bachelor’s degree and four years of related experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures related to advances in higher education, education technology, data-driven decision making, support for learner interventions, and working with various populations on a large campus is highly preferred.
  • Master’s degree in marketing, social sciences, student personnel, or human resources (HR)
  • Two (2) years of experience (minimum) in stakeholder engagement, marketing, sales, career development, career counseling, or HR
  • Knowledge of industry relations, employment trends, student development, career services, marketing, and outreach strategies

  • Develops training materials, user guides, and quality assurance processes to ensure consistent adoption across the partners and student populations.
  • Collaborates with UFIT, the Office of the University Registrar, and campus partners to ensure compliance with university policies and enhance the student experience.

  • Communicates insights, research and findings to leadership to support strategic planning, resource allocation, and storytelling aligned with the mission of the Career Connections Center, Division of Student Life and greater state priorities that positively impact post-graduation success.
  • Maintains documentation, data dictionaries, and reporting protocols to ensure transparency and data literacy across the portfolio.
