About The Position

The MFTG Engineer is responsible for designing processes for new products and proposing efficient ideas. This role involves studying Line KPIs for new models, preparing for production, and resolving technical issues to achieve targets. The engineer will focus on improving profitability through productivity enhancements such as labor savings, defect reduction, and equipment breakdown reduction. Key tasks include analyzing and improving existing production lines to optimize productivity based on current and future volume trends, establishing in-plant technologies like automated assembly and inspection, and deploying these across other lines. The position requires working collaboratively within a team, following the PDCA cycle to meet plant targets and KPIs, and defining, scheduling, implementing, monitoring, and standardizing improvements. Additionally, the engineer will perform cost estimates for improvement ideas, including equipment, tooling, packaging, and installation costs, with supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Design processes for new products and propose efficient ideas.

  • Improve profitability through productivity improvements (labor savings, defect reduction, equipment breakdown reduction, etc.).
  • Analyze and improve existing lines to optimize productivity based on recent and future volume trends.
  • Establish in-plant technologies such as automated assembly and inspection and deploy it to other line.
  • Work with a team, following the PDCA cycle, to achieve plant targets and KPI’s.
  • Define, schedule, implement, monitor and standardize improvements.
  • Perform cost estimates for improvement ideas, including equipment, tooling, packaging and installation cost with supervision.
