About The Position

This position is open to one preclinical MFT program student on the Atlanta campus. The work-study student will provide support for the Mercer Family Therapy Center on their assigned campus. The center provides low-cost psychotherapy services for families, couples, and individuals who reside in the Middle Georgia area. These services are provided by second-year Master of Family Therapy (MFT) graduate students who are supervised by licensed marriage and family therapists.

Requirements

• Must be a preclinical student enrolled in the Marriage and Family Therapy Master's Program on the Atlanta campus.
• Must have availability for work during the hours the MFT clinic operates.
• Strong communications skills
• Computer skills
• Interpersonal skills
• Must complete an Employment Eligibility Verification Form (I-9) and present documentation verifying citizenship or permanent residency.

Responsibilities

• Completing phone intakes and assessments
• Assigning clients
• Scheduling appointments
• Troubleshooting with clients
• Assisting in marketing efforts
• Completing data entry
• Assisting with chart audits
• Other clinic projects as needed
• Help maintain the private practice work environment
