About The Position

Participate in programs that sustain compliance with Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality requirements. The role is responsible for product tests, audits, and calibrations, and performs work safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve plant performance in SQR and the Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership that embodies the Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles and demonstrate the company’s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to work overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in a related field.
• At least two years of previous quality assurance lab experience.
• Knowledge of food safety programs, microbiological concepts, and sanitation concepts.
• Functional knowledge and use of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform required product tests, audits, and calibrations to help ensure food safety and consistent quality.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Complete tasks on “If down, do” lists.
• Complete assigned safety observations.
• Keep the work area neat and clean.
• Follow established programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements.
• Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF 2000 Systems.
• Remain accountable to the Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
