About The Position

We are Techmer PM — the world’s foremost materials design firm, creating custom polymers that make up essential products. Through our long-standing partnerships with processors, original equipment manufacturers, and product designers, we’ve worked for decades to tackle manufacturing and business challenges through sustainable, future-minded solutions. We are currently seeking an a Metrology Technician for our Clinton, TN. facility. This position will be on 1st shift and is a part-time position.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in environments that required types of weighing and/or measuring systems.
  • Experience in the collection and storing of data in a presentable format when needed.
  • Having the ability to work independently or in a group while maintaining a commitment to accuracy.

  • Experience with calibration and measurement systems
  • Familiarity with industry standards such as ISO/IEC 17025
  • Proficient in using measurement software and tools
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all products/materials meet quality requirements through quality control testing, sample compounding, and that all company resources are utilized efficiently.
  • Develop and calibrate measurement instruments and systems as needed
  • Manage all external Calibration Vendors
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of measurement equipment
  • Analyze measurement data to ensure accuracy and consistency
  • Develop measurement procedures and protocols as needed
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Provide technical support and training to other departments as needed
  • Document and report measurement and calibration results
  • Conduct research to improve measurement techniques and technologies
  • Collaborate with team to resolve measurement challenges
  • Certify equipment and processes according to national and international standards as needed
