The Metrology Lab Technician to support our quality assurance and engineering teams by ensuring the accuracy and calibration of measurement instruments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metrology, precision measurement, and quality control processes. It would be involved in calibrating, maintaining, and ensuring the accuracy of measuring instruments used in the company's Lab and quality control processes. This role would be crucial for maintaining the high standards of Crestron's products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 3-5 years’ experience in electronics manufacturing or mechanical components industry
  • 3-5 years' experience with ASQ, ISO, or other metrology-related standards
  • Must be able to use, including but not limited to Vision System
  • Must be able to use, including but not limited to Optical Comparator, Calipers, Micrometers
  • Must be able to use, including but not limited to C.M.M. (Coordinate Measuring Machine)
  • Must be able to use, including but not limited to Basic math skills, SPC (Statistical Process Control), Computers

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree (AAS) in metrology or quality control in related field preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct precision measurements using advanced tools such as CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines), optical comparators, and micrometers.
  • General understanding of statistical databases, analyze measurement data, support root cause analysis, and recommend improvements.
  • Analyze and interpret measurement data to support engineering and manufacturing teams.
  • Interpret GD&T, gauging, and statistical requirements from blueprints and specifications.
  • Maintain detailed records of calibration and inspection results.
  • Interface with Metrology Engineering, Manufacturing, SQE teams to ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Manage multiple priorities, support other duties as assigned.
