First Solar•Santa Clara, CA

About The Position

First Solar is hiring a Metrology Development Intern for a three-month internship starting in Spring 2027. Interns contribute to work across areas such as research and development, marketing, project development, information technology, engineering, and energy services, gaining real-world experience and opportunities to develop new skills. The company promotes innovation through collaboration, thoughtful risk-taking, learning from failures, and personal accountability. First Solar may offer a role that best matches the candidate’s experience and skillset. The intern will support one of several R&D project areas, depending on their background, interests, and team needs: electrochemistry experiments, electrical measurement and characterization, or scientific scripting and programming for data processing, analysis, and visualization. At the end of the internship, the intern must present their accomplishments and project summary to the leadership team. Class enrollment may be accommodated as long as it does not interfere with the position’s essential functions. First Solar encourages interns to register their internship with their university.
