The Texas Institute for Electronics (TIE) is seeking a Metrology Development Engineer II or Senior Metrology Development Engineer to join their team. This role is crucial for establishing the measurement and characterization infrastructure for TIE, which is focused on developing and executing a state-of-the-art 3D Heterogenous Integration manufacturing technology roadmap. TIE aims to provide critical pilot manufacturing capabilities to address national security needs and catalyze domestic economic growth. The position offers the opportunity to work on cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing equipment and processes, with significant funding from the US DoD and the state of Texas. The selected candidate will be part of a close-knit team and will be instrumental in advancing semiconductor logic, memory, heterogeneous integration, and chip cooling technologies. The role requires expertise in thermal and mechanical metrologies, from fundamental theory to practical application, and involves collaboration with engineers and technicians across TIE to support design and development needs, optimize processes and tools, and contribute to industry standardization efforts.
