About The Position

The Metrics Business Analyst will provide data analytics, performance measurement, reporting, and process-improvement support to Littoral Combat Ship Squadron TWO (LCSRON TWO). The analyst will transform operational, maintenance, logistics, readiness, personnel, and supply data into actionable metrics and executive-level decision-support products. The position will work closely with the Junior Database Developer, Government subject-matter experts, the Chief of Staff, and Department Heads to improve data integrity, eliminate redundant processes, and strengthen leadership visibility across squadron operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited U.S. college or university in business, analytics, or a related field; equivalent military or commercial experience may be accepted.
  • At least three years of specialized experience in business management and systems analysis.
  • Demonstrated proficiency with: SQL, Microsoft Access, SharePoint, Microsoft Office, including Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to prepare and present high-level briefings to senior leadership.
  • Ability to translate complex data into clear graphs, charts, tables, dashboards, and executive-level presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and team-based problem-solving skills.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance by the first day of performance.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, validate, analyze, track, report, and publish data across LCSRON TWO business lines.
  • Manage and report Active Cannibalizations (ACANNs) across the LCSRON TWO enterprise.
  • Monitor ACANN aging, turnaround times, recurring system impacts, material-readiness effects, maintenance-execution impacts, and operational-availability concerns.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, scorecards, graphs, charts, tables, and executive-level presentations.
  • Apply business-intelligence methodologies and data-analysis techniques to improve data quality and produce actionable insights.
  • Use Microsoft Access, SharePoint, SQL, Microsoft Office, and web-based reporting tools to develop and enhance analytical capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Junior Database Developer and Government subject-matter experts to create, update, and maintain databases.
  • Analyze data associated with: Preventive Maintenance Availabilities (PMAV), Operational Availability (Ao), Material Availability (Am), Train to Qualify (T2Q) replacement sailors, Maintenance and sustainment performance, Active Cannibalizations, Squadron readiness and operational performance.
  • Develop performance measures, predictive analyses, trend analyses, process evaluations, and Key Performance Indicators.
  • Identify operational efficiencies, emerging issues, performance gaps, readiness impacts, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Provide immediate and long-term process-improvement recommendations to the Chief of Staff and Department Heads.
  • Manage databases to prevent duplicate data entry and administrative rework.
  • Develop reports that provide complete traceability and visibility of serviceable material or component transfers.
  • Prepare and deliver high-level briefings to senior leadership using Microsoft PowerPoint.
  • Participate in recurring status meetings, technical working groups, and meetings with Government stakeholders.
  • Contribute to weekly analytical products, monthly status reports, and other required contract deliverables.
  • Safeguard classified information, Controlled Unclassified Information, and Privacy Act data.
