About The Position

The Methyl Methacrylate (MMA) Sales Manager will be responsible for managing MMA sales by developing a business plan that covers sales, revenue, and expense controls. This role involves conducting inventory assessments, maintaining stockroom organization, and monitoring inventory levels to prevent shortages. The manager will also focus on developing new customers and enhancing business relationships, while maintaining and reporting sales information accurately and in a timely manner. Communication with the Chemical Division Sales Director regarding customer requirements and opportunities is key, as is understanding customers' end markets and sales strategies. The role requires continually communicating customer needs to internal counterparts to ensure timely and accurate solutions and increase customer satisfaction. Attending industry conferences and company meetings is expected to increase industry awareness and knowledge.

Requirements

  • Around 10 years of domestic sales/local sales/import in the chemical industry
  • At least 5 years of sales experience at a chemical distribution company (sales experience for solvents is preferred)
  • Able to travel domestically and internationally (business trips)
  • Able to create new opportunities and convert opportunities to revenue in sales
  • Resourceful and persistent in prospecting prospective clients
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited school
