Metallurgical Prep Technician
About The Position
Element is seeking a Metallurgical Sample Prep Technician to join its laboratory team in Daleville, Indiana. The role involves hands-on preparation of metal samples for testing and evaluation in a laboratory and industrial environment. No metallurgy experience is required; dependable, motivated candidates who are eager to learn and comfortable working with tools, equipment, machinery, chemicals, and industrial materials are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Prepare material samples for testing and evaluation.
- Operate laboratory preparation equipment.
- Grind, polish, mount, and process metal samples.
- Work with laboratory chemicals, acids, and fume hoods.
- Log and track samples through the testing process.
- Help maintain equipment and support daily laboratory operations.
- Safely handle materials and components weighing up to 40 pounds.
