About The Position

LECO, headquartered in St. Joseph, Michigan, designs and manufactures world-class laboratory instruments. We’re a stable, family-owned organization focused on building long-term relationships—with our customers and our people. This full-time, salaried role involves significant travel, primarily within Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, and Kentucky, with potential for expanded travel. The ideal candidate will reside near Indianapolis, IN. The position offers a $5,000 signing bonus and includes a comprehensive training path.

Requirements

Self-directed with strong written and verbal communication
Professional, safety-conscious approach aligned to each customer site’s policies
Exceptional organization and attention to detail
Comfort traveling daily with up to four overnight hotel stays (Monday – Friday)
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Personal credit card or the ability to obtain one
Mechanical aptitude; prior exposure to AC/DC electronics or the drive to learn
Pass a background check and substance abuse screenings
Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction

Responsibilities

Preventive and corrective service on analytical and metallographic instruments, including troubleshooting and repairs
Commission new systems; perform updates and install factory upgrade kits
Educate users on instrument theory, daily operation, software, and care routines
Execute all work to the standards of LECO’s ISO accreditation
Serve as a trusted, customer-facing partner who cultivates strong relationships
