About The Position

This role is for a Metallography & Analytical Systems Service Engineer who enjoys troubleshooting complex instruments, making customers successful, and is energized by a remote, on-the-road role serving diverse labs. Requirements

Proactive communicator (verbal and written) with strong organizational habits.
Professional, safety-minded approach aligned to customer site policies.
Mechanical aptitude and exposure to AC/DC electronics—or the drive to learn quickly.
Valid driver’s license; clean driving record.
Personal credit card or ability to obtain one for travel expenses.
Two-year technical degree or trade school, or Military technical training, or Equivalent technical experience.
Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction.

Nice To Haves

Chemistry knowledge or military technical experience is beneficial, not mandatory.

Responsibilities

Execute preventive maintenance, repair calls, and corrective actions on analytical and metallographic equipment.
Install new instruments; implement firmware/software updates and hardware upgrade kits.
Provide customer training on operating theory, software workflows, and care/maintenance.
Work to LECO’s ISO-accredited procedures, documentation, and quality standards.
Represent LECO professionally and build trusted customer relationships.
