Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED minimum
  • Basic computer skills
  • Demonstrated basic math skills
  • 2 Years manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrate written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work with a dynamic and demanding team.
  • Accurate, efficient, & proactive in daily duties.
  • Ability to conduct basic maintenance or mechanical activities as required.
  • Ability to work at a fast pace.
  • Accountable, teachable, approachable
  • Ability to learn, make decisions, and be creative & flexible.
  • Ability to problem solve.
  • Capable of lifting 50 pounds
  • Ability to stand up for a minimum of 8 hours.

Responsibilities

  • Safely and efficiently operate a stamping press producing stamped parts, focusing on safety, quality, and efficient production techniques using NASG Press standards and procedures.
  • Maintain a continuous improvement attitude and willingness to adopt new ideas/skills using TQPS principles.
  • Operate stamping presses and any auxiliary equipment.
  • Keep station clean and orderly, adhering to 5-S principles.
  • Initiate press start-up and adjust as required after a set-up.
  • Perform changeover and set-up of stamping dies and presses.
  • Adjust process parameters as dictated from the Die Set-up sheet.
  • Set-up and adjust auxiliary equipment such as coil feeders and straighteners.
  • Perform part inspections per Inspection Instructions, including visual inspections.
  • Report updated information from Die Set-up sheets to Leaders as needed.
  • Verify production schedule using the Shop Edge system.
  • Report all quality, production, or safety problems to the Team Leader.
  • Perform and maintain 5-S standards in the area of responsibility.
  • Suggest methods of improvement, participating in the continuous improvement plan and performance award program.
  • Be available for overtime as required.
