About The Position

The Metal Stamping Operator C sets up and operates a progressive stamping operation in accordance with established procedures and guidelines. The job also controls and adjusts machine settings to complete simple tasks accurately, according to specifications, and in a timely fashion.

Requirements

• Ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Ability to apply fractions, addition, subtraction, division and decimals, and common fractions in all units of measure.
• Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
• Ability to use precision measuring equipment and mechanical equipment and tools.
• Thorough understanding of or the ability to quickly learn production equipment.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Efficient time management skills.
• One to three years of related experience and/or training.
• An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Understand and have the ability to abide by applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Forklift certification.

Responsibilities

• Set up and run a coil metal de-coiler.
• Set up and run a material feeder/straightener.
• Set up and run an Open Back Inclinable (OBI) stamping press with various progressive stamping dies.
• Set up and run deburring/tumbling equipment.
• Operate other equipment associated with metal stamping production needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
