The Metal Hardware Specialist is responsible for operating the appropriate CNC, fabrication and power tool equipment while following all safety precautions as required. The right candidate will have a fun, confident and positive attitude while ensuring customers' orders are manufactured to world class specifications. A good sense of humor, resourceful mindset and passion for custom manufacturing is required. Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Mechanical inclination and willingness to dive in, get your hands dirty, and work
  • Familiarity with a variety of hand tools, electric drills, air tools and preventive maintenance
  • Experience in construction, fabrication and metal all a plus
  • Computer savvy with a basic understanding of computer programs
  • Able to be flexible with work schedule, occasional extra hours or weekend work may be required

Responsibilities

  • Cut and assemble materials to specifications
  • Quality check each order to ensure standards are met
  • Package each order to completion and prepare for shipment
  • Use power tools and hand tools to cut and prepare raw materials for assembly
  • Use tape measures, squares, protractors, angle finders to accurately cut and drill holes in metal and wood
  • Cut, grind, drill, and lay out a wide variety of materials
  • Operate industrial forklift
  • Complete required documentation in a timely manner
  • Follow all safety standards and procedures
  • Keep the shop and work area clean and organized
  • Work with a sense of urgency to meet short deadlines without compromising quality
