About The Position

Grind a variety of precision metal parts to bring them into an acceptable reading point specification using tools such as band grinders, hand Dremel, torque wrenches, etc. This position is based indoors in a production environment with loud machinery. Chemicals are also present, and the use of proper PPE is required.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in deburring and grinding precision machined metal parts.
• Basic comprehension of blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, and specifications to determine dimensions and tolerances of a finished work piece.
• Be able to read, speak and write English

Nice To Haves

• Basic electronic background
• Algebra knowledge (decimals, conversions, etc.)
• Understand what an option code is
• Understand loadcell features (threads, capacity, bridges, etc.)
• Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture of goods.
• Reading schematics or drawings
• Hand/power tool experience

Responsibilities

• Grind a variety of precision metal parts to bring them into an acceptable reading point specification using tools such as band grinders, hand Dremel, torque wrenches, etc.
• Polish tight tolerance surface finishes.
• Inspect surface finishes, threads, and broken edges.
• Remove defects and smooth uneven surfaces.
