About The Position

This role involves metal finishing and spot welding, ensuring parts meet conforming cosmetic guidelines. The position requires adherence to quality standards, safety regulations, and operational procedures. The team member will be responsible for in-process quality checks, weld adherence testing, and maintaining cosmetic standards to ensure a high-quality product. This role also involves developing positive working relationships with teammates and internal customers.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand calipers, tape measures, squares, protractors, and use of fixtures required to perform job function.
• Ability to frequently stand and walk.
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Willingness to work overtime if needed.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Finishes metal parts to conforming cosmetic guidelines using electric, pneumatic, buffing equipment, or other hand tools.
• Reports problems with quality, processes, equipment, safety issues, and materials to the Team Leader.
• Complies with all policies/procedures, quality standards, and safety and regulatory requirements.
• Maintains operator preventative maintenance (PMs) for equipment.
• Handles and positions work with fixtures and regulates heat and filler rod as required by AWS standards.
• Performs in-process quality checks, weld adherence testing, and ensures cosmetic guidelines are met to fabricate a quality product.
• Develops working relationships with other teammates and internal customers.
