About The Position

Allegion, through its brand Krieger Specialty Products, is seeking a Spot Weld Helper to assist production welders in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The Spot Weld Helper will be responsible for preparing parts, feeding and removing assemblies, performing basic spot-weld tasks under supervision, and maintaining a clean and safe work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; on‑the‑job training provided.
• Prior manufacturing or welding shop experience helpful but not required.
• Ability to read basic work instructions, measure to tolerances, and use hand tools.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Able to work assigned shifts and overtime as needed; 18+ years old.

Responsibilities

• Load, position, and clamp parts for spot welding and assist welders during setups.
• Operate basic spot-weld equipment and hand tools per instruction and safety procedures.
• Inspect welded assemblies for visible defects and remove finished parts to staging areas.
• Clean and maintain work area, consumables, and basic tooling; report equipment issues.
• Follow written work orders, production schedules, and quality standards.
• Adhere to all safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout procedures.
