About The Position

Maysteel is seeking dependable, motivated individuals to join their growing team in the metal finishing department. This role offers the opportunity to work with your hands, learn new skills, and grow within the company. As an experienced Metal Finishing team member, you will play an important role in producing quality metal products by operating production equipment, moving parts through the finishing process, and ensuring all parts meet quality standards.

Requirements

Dependable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and willing to learn
Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
Able to follow written and verbal instructions
Basic math and communication skills
Ability to learn and operate production equipment
Ability to read and follow work instructions
Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and work on your feet throughout the workday
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 35 lbs.

Manufacturing experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Set up and operate production and metal finishing equipment
Load and unload metal parts and move them through the production process
Deburr and grind metal to achieve the proper surface finish
Read gauges and follow manufacturing instructions, routings, blueprints, and visual aids
Inspect parts and ensure they meet quality specifications
Identify and communicate equipment or quality issues to leads or management
Work independently to complete assigned tasks while meeting quality and production expectations
Record production information and use our systems to track your work
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
