About The Position

The Sumner-Lab at the UNC Chapel Hill Nutrition Research Institute is seeking a laboratory assistant to conduct metabolomics analysis. The individual will assist the lab manager with biospecimen preparation, data acquisition, data processing, and documentation of all laboratory procedures. They will participate in storage and disposal of reagents, ordering supplies, preparing chemical inventories, and ensuring compliance with the laboratory safety plan and university health safety and environment policies. The individual will use software for processing metabolomics data, conducting hypothesis testing, and multivariate statistics. They may contribute to literature reviews, presentations, and manuscripts.
