Merchandising Supervisor With Experience
About The Position
The Merchandising Supervisor is responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team, and delivering an excellent customer experience. The role models exceptional customer service and maintains a clean, organized store. The Supervisor orchestrates truck delivery and prioritizes moving merchandise onto the sales floor. They train, mentor, and coach Associates; monitor team productivity; coordinate priorities and progress with management; and maintain merchandising, signage, backroom organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards. The position also supports store safety, compliance, shrink reduction, and credit and loyalty programs.
Requirements

- At least 1 year of retail experience and 6 months of leadership experience.
Responsibilities
- Create a positive internal and external customer experience.
- Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
- Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
- Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
- Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
- Communicate with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
- Ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to the store plan; prioritize as needed.
- Monitor team productivity and coach as necessary.
- Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
- Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area.
- Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
- Communicate priorities accurately and effectively with management and Associates, and provide progress updates.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Partner with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
