About The Position

Falcon Farms is one of the leading fresh cut-flower distributors in the United States, with a significant presence in Colombia and Ecuador, and distribution centers across the US. The company operates with an entrepreneurial culture, emphasizing collaboration and adaptability due to the seasonal and variable nature of the flower business. Falcon Farms is currently expanding its regional footprint in Texas. The Merchandising Supervisor will manage a team of 5-9 merchandisers in a specific territory, overseeing approximately 20-30 retail locations. This role involves training, developing, and evaluating merchandisers to ensure adherence to the company's "Picture of Success" in each store. The supervisor will act as a hands-on mentor, focusing on selling flowers and providing excellent customer service. Adaptability to changing business priorities and the ability to reallocate resources are crucial. Approximately 80% of the supervisor's time will be spent in the field, monitoring performance and interacting with customer teams.

Requirements

Able to regularly lift up to 20 lbs. on an ongoing basis throughout each shift
Able to stand on an ongoing basis throughout each shift
Able to consistently work assigned schedule
Able to drive to stores, check product and audit work done by merchandisers.
Ability to read and follow merchandising schematics

High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience

Responsibilities

Supervise and monitor an assigned geographic region at various Falcon Farms Customers' points of sale.
Evaluate merchandiser performance, assign resources as required, and cover merchandiser absences.
Audit store displays and maintain strong relationships with floral buyers.
Prioritize daily routine based on business needs and short-term requirements.
Provide business-related data to merchandisers to enhance their execution.
Analyze region and store-specific data to propose actions for improving business profitability.
Manage route operational/sales activity, including ordering and distribution, merchandising, promotional activity, holiday planning, and meeting customer expectations.
Ensure the proper upkeep and personal presentation of the merchandising team.
Train and provide ongoing feedback to merchandisers.
Liaise with Falcon Farms' HR team to address staffing needs and ensure compliance.
Engage with customers' store management teams to strengthen Falcon Farms' representation.
Cover merchandising routes as needed.
