About The Position

TJX Companies is seeking interns for its Summer Internship program in Merchandising at its Corporate Home Office in Framingham, MA. Requirements

Current Sophomores & Juniors
Genuine interest in a career in Corporate Retail / Merchandising
Genuine interest in retail, Merchandising Career Path, product, and following trends
Sense of curiosity for an ever-changing retail landscape
Entrepreneurial spirit
Excellent communicators who work well in teams
Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including Excel (i.e., pivot tables, charts, v-look up, etc.)
Ability to think critically and creatively to solve problems
Proven leadership abilities and a strong work ethic
Detail oriented
Must have a dependable means of transportation to and from the office and for traveling as needed for the role.
Must be able to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and complete required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.

Responsibilities

Analyze sales trends and reports to anticipate consumer buying patterns and product trends
Create and implement allocation strategies for stores and/or e-commerce sites
Accompany Buyers on local, virtual, or on-site vendor visits
Strategize with Buyers before vendor visits and debrief post-visit
Visit stores to analyze product mix and competitors
Resolve merchandise issues with Distribution Centers, Buyers, and Vendors
