About The Position

Responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards while ensuring Associates process merchandise efficiently and effectively as a team. The role supports an excellent customer experience through customer engagement and by maintaining a clean and organized store, and serves as a role model for exceptional customer service. The position orchestrates truck deliveries and merchandise processing onto the sales floor, trains and mentors Associates, monitors team productivity, and helps ensure work is completed according to the store plan. It also maintains backroom organization, merchandising and signage standards, safety, and compliance with applicable store policies and programs.

Requirements

Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Superior communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
Capable of multitasking and responding appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
Team player who works effectively with peers and supervisors.
Capable of lifting heavy objects, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Able to train others.
One year of retail experience and six months of leadership experience.

Responsibilities

Create a positive internal and external customer experience and role-model exceptional customer service.
Promote honesty and integrity and maintain confidentiality.
Orchestrate truck delivery and prioritize processing merchandise onto the sales floor.
Train and mentor Associates on established merchandising and processing principles.
Ensure merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
Coordinate with the Coordinator on Duty to support efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
Ensure Associates complete tasks according to the store plan and reprioritize as needed.
Monitor team productivity and coach Associates as necessary.
Organize and rotate back stock for easy replenishment.
Maintain merchandising philosophy and signage standards.
Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards in the backroom.
Ensure compliance with recycling and, where applicable, hazardous waste programs.
Communicate priorities and progress accurately and effectively with management and Associates.
Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
Partner with Management on Associate training needs.
Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
Promote credit and loyalty programs.
Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
Promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
Perform other duties as assigned.
