About The Position

The Part Time Merchandising Associate helps deliver a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, applying customer experience practices, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role includes customer-service and checkout tasks, processing and preparing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising and recovery standards, and supporting store safety and shrink-reduction efforts. The associate contributes to a positive store culture and follows company procedures, policies, and applicable labor laws.

Responsibilities

• Engage and interact with customers while following established customer experience practices.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the entire store.
• Give and receive recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and help maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
