About The Position

The Merchandising Assistant Manager joins the Store Manager in leading store associates and creating positive experiences for the community, with a focus on merchandising and freight processing. The role assists with store functions and daily activities, opening and closing procedures, asset protection, policy compliance, and maintaining the stockroom and sales floor to company standards. It also involves keeping the store clean and presentable and fostering a positive, safe, respectful, and professional environment for customers, associates, and leaders. As assigned, the role supports the Store Manager with processing the receipt and return of direct store delivery merchandise, managing freight flow, ordering and stocking merchandise (including frozen and refrigerated items), maintaining a sales-effective floor, merchandising Clip Strips and Power Panels, and implementing monthly Sales Planners. Other duties may be assigned. This is a full-time position in Marienville, Pennsylvania.

Requirements

Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
Ability to work in a high-energy team environment.
Ability to lift 30 to 50 pounds from floor to above shoulder height.
Ability to meet the physical demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Prior retail and management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
Protect and secure company assets, including store cash.
Follow company policies and procedures, including safety guidelines.
Maintain the stockroom and sales floor to company standards.
Process corporate directives, including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, Key Survey information requests, and other store communications.
Maintain store cleanliness, including cleaning and restocking bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out trash, and keeping areas neat and presentable.
Help maintain a positive, safe, and respectful environment and interact professionally and courteously with customers, associates, and leaders.
Process the receipt and return of direct store delivery merchandise as assigned.
Manage freight flow in accordance with productivity standards.
Order and stock merchandise, including frozen and refrigerated products, in accordance with productivity standards.
Ensure the sales floor is sales-effective.
Plan, merchandise, and maintain Clip Strips and Power Panels with sales-effective items.
Plan and implement monthly Sales Planners.
Perform other duties as assigned.
