About The Position

Borden Dairy is seeking a part-time Merchandiser to service assigned customer accounts, communicate sales promotions and merchandising updates, and improve product presentation and placement. The role includes executing plan-o-grams, maintaining shelves and refrigerated sections, managing displays and signage, and identifying opportunities to increase sales. The position requires extensive driving to assigned customers and may involve overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED strongly preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurance required.
• Minimum of 3 years of field merchandising experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to read, write, communicate, and perform required tasks in English.
• Strong attention to detail and conscientious work ethic.
• Ability to prioritize, self-motivate, and manage time effectively.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Ability and willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts as required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

• Call on assigned accounts to communicate sales promotions and merchandising updates.
• Execute plan-o-grams, including stocking, fronting, facing, and rotating products.
• Rearrange shelving, clean refrigerated sections, and restock shelves as needed.
• Ensure product displays are professional, appealing, and properly signed.
• Reset displays and report product or merchandising issues and opportunities.
• Negotiate for additional shelf and promotional space.
• Conduct store surveys and market analyses to understand customer behavior and optimize product placement.
• Capture display conditions upon arrival to identify opportunities for sales growth.
