About The Position

The Merchandiser presents products to attract consumers at customer retail locations and services and maintains multiple bulk accounts. The role involves merchandising approved products and packages using safe handling techniques and following quality guidelines. Merchandisers must be able to follow plan sets and planograms and communicate with store management and cross-functional personnel. The position works a Friday-through-Tuesday schedule in the District of Columbia. The listed pay range is $200.00–$208.65 daily, depending on experience.

Requirements

Effective listening, speaking, and writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with customers who have varied demands and expectations.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including repetitively lifting 50 pounds.
Ability to work reliably and independently with little daily supervision.
Critical thinking skills.
Valid in-state driver's license.
Excellent driving history.
Proof of current insurance coverage for liability and property damage of at least $50,000 per person, $100,000 per accident, and $50,000 property damage, with a deductible of $500 or less, effective from the first day of employment.

Responsibilities

Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on displays and shelves according to procedures and special programs.
Move products from the backroom and place them on display.
Create and distribute point-of-sale materials on displays and shelves where permitted.
Fill and merchandise Fastlane merchandisers and vendors, and check vendors for proper operation.
Organize and maintain the backroom by arranging products by package and flavor; arrange returns of empty pallets and shells, damaged products, and out-of-date products to the branch.
Build business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests, proactive pricing, discussions of special programs and new opportunities, and upcoming activities.
