About The Position

Imperial Beverage is hiring a Merchandiser in the Kalamazoo, Michigan region. Merchandisers use their own vehicle to visit assigned local stores and stock the company’s beverages on shelves and in coolers. The role offers flexibility and entry-level work experience with a beverage distributor. It is a full-time position requiring a vehicle, a cell phone, and availability during the day. The merchandiser reviews emails and deliveries to plan the day, visits stores after deliveries have been made, checks in with store managers as needed, reviews invoices, stocks and rotates product, organizes backstock, and assembles displays. The company is a Michigan family-owned beverage distributor that has operated since 1933 and emphasizes passion, hard work, customer focus, integrity, and community involvement.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Must be at least 18 years old.
Valid driver’s license.
Reliable transportation and access to a personal vehicle.
Reliable personal cell phone capable of receiving calls and text messages; the phone number must be available internally.
Access to daily emails and a smart device for tracking mileage and hours.
Attention to detail.
Must live in or near the posted region.
Ability to lift and/or move an average of 30 pounds repetitively.
Availability during the day.

Responsibilities

Review emails and delivery information to plan the day’s schedule.
Arrive at assigned stores after delivery drivers have made deliveries.
Greet the store manager and check in as needed.
Review store invoices to identify beverages delivered.
Stock shelves and coolers, rotating fresh product.
Organize products remaining in the backstock area.
Assemble product displays as needed.
Use a personal vehicle to travel to assigned local stores and get beverages onto shelves.
