About The Position

The Merchandiser presents products to attract consumers at customer retail locations and services and maintains multiple bulk accounts. The role involves merchandising approved products and packages using safe handling techniques and following quality guidelines, as well as following plan sets and planograms and communicating with store management and cross-functional personnel. This route serves customers in Wilmington, North Carolina, and surrounding areas. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel from store to store.

Requirements

Valid in-state driver's license.
Excellent driving history.
Proof of current insurance coverage for liability and property damage of at least $50,000 per person, $100,000 per accident/occurrence, and $50,000 property damage, with a deductible of $500 or less, effective from the first day of employment.
Effective listening, speaking, and writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively to meet the needs and expectations of varied customers.
Willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including repetitive lifting of 50 pounds.
Ability to work reliably and independently with little daily supervision.
Critical-thinking skills.

Responsibilities

Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on displays and shelves according to procedures and special programs.
Move products from the backroom and place them on display.
Create and distribute point-of-sale materials on displays and shelves where permitted; rotate products; fill and merchandise Fastlane merchandisers and vendors; and check vendors for proper operation.
Organize and maintain the back room by stacking and arranging products by package and flavor, and arranging returns of empty pallets and shells, damaged products, and out-of-date products to the branch.
Build business relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests and proactive discussions about pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities.
