About The Position

The Merchandiser works independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, maintain inventory, optimize product placement, and build relationships with store teams. The role includes day-to-day merchandising, seasonal holiday support, and participation in department resets and installations. Merchandisers use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for work tasks and communication and may occasionally support products from other companies in the stores they service. The position is part-time, with a variable work-week schedule averaging 4–12 hours per week. Starting pay is $14.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Availability is needed around major holidays and for seasonal changeovers, installations, extended services, and inventory support. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. The work is physically demanding and takes place on retail selling floors and in stockrooms.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Ability to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside assigned Hallmark departments.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for day-to-day work, communication with a supervisor, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional work hours and support leading up to and following major holidays; some holiday work may be required.
• Support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory tasks.
• Work as part of a team to build and install Hallmark fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
