About The Position

Franz Family Bakery is seeking a reliable, safe, organized Merchandiser to maintain bakery products in a store’s bread aisle. The role includes stocking and rotating products to assure freshness, facing shelves to present bakery items attractively, and keeping assigned products neat and orderly. This is a part-time union position with Teamsters Local 117. Work hours fall between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays and weekends; the schedule will be discussed at interview.

Requirements

At least 18 years of age.
Solid work history, with at least 1 year at previous employers.
Valid driver’s license and current car insurance.
Clean driving record; provide a current driving abstract from the department of licensing if called for an interview.
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug screen, physical, and physical capacity test.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly and maneuver large, bulky product racks.
Ability to bend, stoop, squat, kneel, reach, and perform frequent to constant handling activities.
Highly organized and able to work at a fast pace.
Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of people inside and outside the organization.
Proven history of reliability, safe work practices, and a positive attitude.
Must uphold Franz core values.
Availability to work between 5 a.m. and 7 p.m. on weekdays and weekends; schedule to be discussed at interview.

Nice To Haves

At least 6 months of industry experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Maintain adequate stocking of bakery products in a store’s bread aisle.
Rotate outdated products to assure freshness.
Face grocery shelves to present bakery items in a pleasing manner for consumers.
Maintain a neat and orderly appearance for assigned bakery products.
Push and pull racks and handle trays and bakery products.
Perform additional duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.
