About The Position

Great Lakes Wine & Spirits is hiring a part-time Merchandiser for its OS Wine Sales Division, serving multiple retail account stores in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This entry-level role provides hands-on experience in retail execution and customer support. The Merchandiser stocks and rotates products, supports shelf placement and displays, tracks product availability, and communicates issues and progress to leadership and their manager. The position involves a route-based shift with steady movement, independent work, and brief check-ins. The schedule is up to 29 hours per week, primarily during daytime hours Monday through Friday, with occasional evenings or weekends as needed. Pay is $15 per hour. A valid driver's license and acceptable motor vehicle record are required. Employment offers are conditional on satisfactory pre-employment screenings, including a background check, drug test, physical evaluation, and agility test.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a high school diploma or GED.
Be comfortable using basic iOS devices.
Be able to lift up to 50 pounds and push or pull carts up to 100 pounds.
Have a valid driver's license and an acceptable motor vehicle record; applicants are subject to a driving record check.
Pass pre-employment screenings, including a background check, 10-panel drug test, physical evaluation, and agility test.
Maintain a safe and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

Stock and rotate GLWAS products in assigned retail stores.
Support effective shelf placement and maintain in-store displays.
Track product availability and escalate out-of-stocks to District or Area leadership.
Follow daily plans and use basic reports and forms.
Communicate progress with the manager.
Coordinate with GLWAS District Managers and Area Managers about shelf gaps and out-of-stock issues.
Follow employee policies, applicable contracts, agreements, and work rules.
Cooperate with GLWAS management and staff and follow applicable MLCC rules and regulations.
Use alcohol responsibly when related to business activities.
