About The Position

At Goodwill of North Georgia, the Grader examines and grades donated goods for sale in stores and online. The role helps turn donated items into job training opportunities for people facing barriers to employment. Graders process goods toward daily production goals, support multiple work areas, and contribute to a positive guest experience while following training, safety, and security procedures.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Consistently foster a healthy team culture and exceptional guest experience.
Good oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and sound judgment.
Must be at least 18 years old to become certified and licensed to operate a forklift; individuals aged 16 to 17 may not operate forklifts, balers, or compactors.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly examine and grade donated goods.
Process goods effectively to meet daily production goals.
Move between work areas to support daily production goals.
Identify and promptly solve problems or seek management support.
Communicate effectively with management and team members.
Promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with peers.
Perform work according to training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
Attend and complete required trainings and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
