About The Position

The Merchandiser/Cashier greets customers on the sales floor, helps them locate merchandise or connects them with a parts specialist, and checks out customers. The role stocks, prices, and maintains merchandise and displays, completes sales preparation, and helps deter shoplifting. Cashier duties include processing purchases and returns and assisting at the counter when needed. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Good aptitude for dealing with number sequences.
Good interpersonal communication skills.
Good organizational skills.

Nice To Haves

Previous cashier and/or stocking experience.
Ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle.
Fluency in multiple languages; Spanish is highly desired.
Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Greet customers on the sales floor and help them locate merchandise or direct them to a parts specialist for hard parts.
Check in, price, and stock merchandise.
Keep merchandise displays fronted, full, and clean daily.
Make display changes according to company guidelines and planograms.
Make out-front price changes.
Ensure sale signs are in place, stock the sales flyer rack, and maintain sufficient sale merchandise on display.
Remove sale materials when a sale ends and restore original pricing.
Assist with stock adjustments, cycle counts, and overstock returns.
Work with the manager to complete the store To Do List and Team Weekly tasks.
Act as a shoplifting deterrent and provide front-floor security.
Assist with O’Reilly Image Maker responsibilities.
Clock in and out according to company policy.
Check out customers purchasing front-floor merchandise quickly and in a friendly manner.
Handle customer merchandise returns in a friendly and efficient manner.
When the express lane is not in use and the counter is busy, assist customers by finishing tickets and accepting money, checks, and credit cards.
