About The Position

The Retail Merchandise/Warehouse Handler performs routine receiving, assembling, janitorial, general warehouse, and maintenance tasks within The Wellsville Group’s retail showroom in Mayfield, Ohio. The position includes maintaining showroom cleanliness, receiving and checking incoming products, preparing merchandise for deliveries and displays, and assisting customers with product pickups and drop-offs. The handler also works with the visual merchandising specialist on floor moves and special projects. This is a full-time position with a five-day schedule on Saturday, Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Pay starts at $16.50 per hour and is paid weekly.

Requirements

General knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and cleaning techniques or methods.
Attention to detail and solid time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and prioritize workload.
Ability to lift, lower, push, or pull up to 75 pounds independently.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to assemble furniture using small hand tools.
High school diploma or GED.
Warehouse receiving or retail back-room experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Perform daily housekeeping tasks, including emptying trash, vacuuming or mopping walkways, and cleaning restrooms.
Receive and unload incoming products, inspecting them for damage, loss, or defects and confirming order accuracy.
Assemble and prepare products for customer deliveries, showroom displays, and location transfers.
Assist customers with product pickups and drop-offs, including loading and unloading as business needs require.
Work with the visual merchandising specialist on floor moves and special projects.
