About The Position

Marion Goodwill Industries is seeking a Wares Processor to evaluate, price, and prepare donated goods for the sales floor in a fast-paced environment. The role helps keep stores stocked with fresh, quality merchandise while supporting Goodwill’s job training, education, and community programs. The processor sorts merchandise according to pricing guidelines, determines whether items should be resold, salvaged, or discarded, identifies special or high-value items for premium pricing, and maintains production goals. The role also involves customer service, stocking and displaying merchandise, keeping work areas organized, and transporting goods and supplies throughout the store.

Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate quality.
Basic math and pricing skills.

Ability to lift up to 40 pounds, stand, bend, and perform repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent customer service when interacting with donors and shoppers.
Sort, price, and prepare donated merchandise using pricing guidelines.
Evaluate items for resale, salvage, or discard based on condition and value.
Identify special items, collectibles, and high-value donations for premium pricing.
Stock, rotate, and display merchandise on the sales floor.
Maintain production goals of four carts per hour and a sell-through rate of 50% or higher.
Keep pricing and sorting areas neat, clean, and organized.
Transport merchandise, trash, and supplies as needed throughout the store.
Follow safety, security, and operational policies.
