About The Position

The Merchandise Manager drives merchandising and operational execution, including truck processing, inventory routines, planogram sets, and visual standards. The role ensures accurate pricing, timely promotional execution, and a customer-ready store environment through strong workload planning and inventory management. The Merchandise Manager assists the Store Manager with leading adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and company programs, ensures policies and standards are followed, and provides Manager-on-Duty coverage. The role leads truck execution, workload planning, SISO routines, planogram execution, visual merchandising, inventory control, promotional signage and placement, price changes, Ship from Store fulfillment, RTVs and ASN receiving, and store damage procedures. It also supports a clean and organized store, asset protection, and the training and development of team members.

Requirements

At least 3 years of retail leadership experience.
Ability to remain standing for long periods and move throughout the store.
Ability to bend, lift, carry, reach, and stretch regularly.
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull merchandise and fixtures weighing up to 25–50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Ability to climb ladders or step stools to stock and retrieve products.
Ability to perform repetitive motions, including scanning items, stocking shelves, and operating POS equipment.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent customer interactions.

Responsibilities

Assist the Store Manager in leading adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and company programs, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and requirements.
Ensure execution of company policies and standards, holding the team accountable for store conditions and results.
Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage while maintaining floor leadership, service standards, and operational continuity.
Lead truck execution, including timely unloading, accurate sorting, and efficient movement of merchandise to the sales floor.
Plan workloads and prioritize daily tasks in partnership with store leadership, aligning staffing and execution to business needs.
Execute and maintain SISO routines to support in-stock levels, replenishment accuracy, and sales readiness.
Oversee planogram execution and ensure merchandising sets are completed accurately and on schedule.
Establish and maintain visual merchandising standards, including initial product placement and presentation.
Support a clean, organized, customer-ready store, including backroom organization and sales floor recovery.
Manage inventory control to ensure product accuracy, integrity, and efficient stock movement.
Execute ad sets and ensure promotional signage and product placement are compliant and customer focused.
Complete price changes accurately and on time to maintain pricing integrity across the sales floor and systems.
Oversee Ship from Store fulfillment to ensure orders are picked, packed, and shipped efficiently and accurately.
Process RTVs and ASN receiving, ensuring compliance, accurate documentation, and proper inventory adjustments.
Manage store damage procedures, including proper handling and reporting, to reduce shrink.
Train, coach, and develop team members through structured onboarding and ongoing skill-building across assigned departments.
Partner in maintaining strong Asset Protection practices and reducing shrink through awareness, compliance, and safe operations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
