70120 - Temporary Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Temporary Merchandise Associate delivers a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean, organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate models established customer experience practices, contributes to a positive store culture, processes customer purchases and returns, promotes credit and loyalty programs, and prepares and merchandises products for the sales floor. The role also supports store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts, follows applicable labor laws and procedures, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers while modeling established customer experience practices.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
