Merchandise Associate (Seasonal)
About The Position
The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; processes customer purchases and returns accurately; promotes credit and loyalty programs; and follows merchandising procedures. The position also involves preparing merchandise for the sales floor, participating in store recovery and cleanliness, supporting shrink reduction and safety programs, and complying with labor laws and company policies. Other duties may be assigned.

Responsibilities
- Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness of the entire store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow all labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
