Seasonal Retail Part-time Merchandise Associate - TJ Maxx Cranberry
About The Position
The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, applying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role follows operational, merchandising, and loss-prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to meet business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; handles customer purchases and returns; promotes credit and loyalty programs; processes merchandise for the sales floor; and helps maintain store recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. The position also supports shrink-reduction efforts, follows applicable labor laws and company procedures, and performs other duties as assigned. The role is seasonal and part-time at the TJ Maxx store in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. Starting pay is $13.25 to $13.75 per hour, with actual pay based on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities
- Role-model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
