Retail Part-time Merchandise Associate - TJ Maxx Cranberry Township
About The Position
The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, embodying customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. The role follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect; handles customer purchases and returns according to established procedures; promotes credit and loyalty programs; processes merchandise for the sales floor; and maintains merchandising, recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. The position also supports shrink reduction goals, follows applicable labor laws and company policies, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Engage and interact with customers to deliver a highly satisfying customer experience.
- Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to established procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Follow the company’s merchandising philosophy and established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
- Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Give and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
