About The Position

The Seasonal Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The associate follows operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs.

The role includes customer service and checkout, promoting credit and loyalty programs, processing merchandise for the sales floor, maintaining merchandising standards, and supporting store recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The associate works with peers and supervisors, responds to feedback and changing situations, and follows applicable labor laws, policies, and procedures. Other duties may be assigned.

The position is based at the TJ Maxx store at 1958 Warrensville Center Rd, South Euclid, Ohio. Starting pay is $13.50–$14.00 per hour; actual starting pay depends on relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain sales-floor organization, cleanliness, and recovery standards and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Follow labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
