Retail Seasonal Part Time Merchandise Associate
About The Position
The Merchandise Associate is responsible for delivering a highly satisfying customer experience by engaging and interacting with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandising, and loss prevention standards and may be cross-trained in multiple store areas to support business needs. The associate supports a positive store culture, accurately handles purchases and returns, promotes credit and loyalty programs, processes merchandise for the sales floor, and helps maintain merchandising, recovery, cleanliness, and safety standards. The position also supports shrink-reduction goals, follows applicable labor laws and company policies, and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities
- Model customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
- Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
- Promote credit and loyalty programs.
- Maintain the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
- Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
- Initiate and participate in store recovery as needed throughout the day.
- Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards on the sales floor and help maintain cleanliness throughout the store.
- Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
- Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
- Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
- Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
