About The Position

Mozaic is seeking a part-time Custodian for the Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) Facility in Syracuse, New York. The role helps maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for employees and visitors. Duties include general cleaning and floor care in offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas; waste removal; dusting; window cleaning; and safe operation of cleaning equipment. The custodian may also assist with seasonal outdoor tasks such as snow removal, salting, mowing, and edging. The position is available to individuals with a documented disability to meet federal contract compliance requirements. Reasonable accommodations are available throughout the application and employment process. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., for 20 hours per week. Work is in person at 6001 East Malloy Road, Syracuse, NY 13211. The stated pay range is $18.38–$19.24 per hour.

Requirements

An IEP, GED, high school education, or equivalent.
Experience with grounds maintenance procedures.
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and Material Safety Data Sheets.
Ability to write simple reports and speak effectively before customers or management.
Ability to follow detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions and address problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Regularly stand and walk; use hands to manipulate, handle, or feel; and reach with fingers, hands, and arms.
Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift or move more than 50 pounds with assistance.
Close vision.

Responsibilities

Clean offices, restrooms, hallways, and common areas.
Perform floor care, waste removal, dusting, and window cleaning.
Safely operate cleaning equipment.
May assist with seasonal outdoor tasks, including snow removal, salting, mowing, and edging.
