About The Position

Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Sun Coast is seeking an energetic, relationship-driven professional to support youth mentoring and enrichment programming from its Bradenton office, serving all of Manatee County. The position facilitates engaging workshops, supports mentoring relationships, coordinates site-based activities, and helps youth build confidence, leadership, and career readiness skills. The organization creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships that help young people reach their full potential. Through mentorship, youth development programming, and community partnerships, it empowers children to build confidence, achieve success, and realize brighter futures.

Requirements

Strong communication, organization, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings and weekends.
Dependable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in education, social work, human services, or a related field, or a combination of education and experience.
Experience working with youth, mentoring, education, or group facilitation.

Responsibilities

Facilitate youth workshops and enrichment activities in school and community settings.
Deliver curriculum focused on resilience, leadership, workforce development, mentoring, and life skills.
Launch and support school programs such as Beyond School Walls and Resilient Youth.
Coordinate schedules, activities, volunteers, and special events.
Conduct youth and volunteer interviews and assessments, make matches, and provide ongoing match support.
Maintain accurate program documentation and outcome reporting.
Build positive relationships with students, families, schools, and community partners.
Ensure compliance with youth safety and organizational standards.
