About The Position

Under the supervision of the Outreach Case Management Services Coordinator, provides a variety of paraprofessional mental health services to consumers, both in the office and the community or in consumer homes. Job duties include but are not limited to; assisting consumers in utilizing community resources, securing benefits, learning daily living skills, and medication deliveries. Duties also include providing transportation for consumers from state and out of area hospitals, including local urgent medical appointments and scheduled appointments. This position will also assist professional staff in identifying problem areas, developing and carrying out consumer treatment plans. Responsible for carrying out all activities of the program in such a manner that fulfills CMHA-CEI’s mission, policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Possession of a High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalency
  • A minimum of six months experience working with persons with emotional impairments
  • Ability to communicate accurately and effectively both in writing and verbally
  • Possession of a valid Michigan driver’s license
  • Access to reliable means of transportation for job related use
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen
