The Mental Health Worker directly influences the safety and security of people who receive services by acting to provide a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment according to established policies and procedures. This action involves regularly communicating observations to the entire team of staff assisting the person. This action also involves requesting additional staff/clinical intervention for people who are receiving services. At times, the Mental Health Worker must act directly to help people who are receiving services to access a higher level of care to obtain needed stabilization.
